(SBU) Further to Reftel, PolMilOff discussed on May 24 with
Dan Neculaescu, the Director of the MFA's Office for Arms
Control, Nonproliferation and Combating Terrorism, the
Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) Operational Experts
Group (OEG) meeting hosted by the United States on 11-12
April in Miami. After expressing appreciation for our
nonpaper on this topic, Neculaescu reaffirmed Romania's
strong support for the PSI. He noted that "eleven Romanians
are currently participating in the Turkish PSI exercise."
