(C) The Belgian government is moving energetically to
implement UNSCR 1695, according to MFA Nonproliferation
Division Director Bauwens. Immediately after the
resolution's passage, the MFA alerted the Customs Service and
the regional trade bodies responsible for implementing many
export control regulations, urging them to give extra
scrutiny to DPRK-bound shipments. Bauwens said the MFA has
received excellent cooperation on this matter, not least
because anything that "smells of North Korea" already
