issues Ruth Mery Cano, who is writing the Colombian
delegation's instructions and attending the General Assembly
meeting in Santo Domingo, confirmed the GOC supports Mexico's
revised text of its "trade and investment" resolution that
does not specifically mention the Helms-Burton Law. Cano
also confirmed that the GOC does not support Venezuela's
last-minute additions to the Declaration of Santo Domingo.
Cano said Foreign Minister Barco will clear on the proposed
instructions to the Colombian delegation tomorrow. No
changes are expected, but post will follow up.
