(C) Poloff delivered reftel demarches to MFA Coordinator for
U.S. and Canada Patricia Cortes May 3, emphasizing that the
election of gross human rights violators, like Iran, to the
new Human Rights Council (HRC) will immediately undercut its
legitimacy. Cortes agreed Iran should not be elected to the
HRC. She said Colombia has not made an official decision on
which candidates it will support, but will not support Iran.
