A: ATTENDANCE OF HEAD OF STATE -------------- -- President Kurmanbek Bakiyev has not stated his intention to attend the 61st UN General Assembly. -- However, Post received on September 12 and passed immediately the invitation in Ref A from President Bush to President Bakiyev to attend the UNGA roundtable discussion on democracy. Post will convey any reply as soon as possible. -- Mrs. Tatiana Bakiyeva is not attending UNGA, but she will travel to New York to attend the literacy program hosted by Mrs. Laura Bush on September 18 (Ref C).
