(C) Assistant Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai departed Beijing
for Tehran on August 14 to discuss with Iranian officials the
P5 plus 1 offer and other regional issues of concern, MFA
Arms Control and Disarmament Department Nuclear Division
Deputy Director Xia Tian told Poloff. AFM Cui is scheduled
to return to China on Friday, August 18. Xia said that the
MFA will brief Post after AFM Cui returns.
