¶1. Poloff followed-up on reftel A demarche with Mr. Dusit
Manapan, Director of the Social Division at the International
Organization Department of the Thai Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. Mr. Dusit explained that Thailand "fundamentally
does not believe in country resolutions" and thus would
support any "No Action" proposals brought forth for these
five country-specific resolutions. If the "No Action"
proposals do not pass, Dusit noted that Thailand would
abstain.
