Both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense advised the Embassy that, during a March 14 Cabinet meeting, the Royal Thai Government formally endorsed changes to the bilateral U.S.-Thai agreement respecting military assistance requested in reftel. Paisit Boonparlit, Political Counselor for MFA's North American Division, advised PolOff that he would fax a copy of the diplomatic note requested in reftel to the Embassy either late on March 14 or early on March 15. Post will fax a copy of that note to the Deparment (EAP/MLS) and pouch original when they are received. BOYCE
