Per reftels, the following is the program outcomes report for Embassy's FY06 BFIF grant. Project A: Partnership Pilot IT Connection - Monthly rental charges -------------- The stand alone computer for the Partnership Pilot IT Connection was installed with internet line. Monthly charges were paid since May 2006 until to date. Project B: CS IT Connectivity -------------- FCS Singapore Commercial Assistant came to Brunei and installed the Commerce's Commercial Function Tools. She also trained the Commercial Assistant and the Receptionist/DCM Assistant on how to use and get access to CMS, Sametime, DOC Insider, Emenu, and buyusa.com. Project C: Partner Post Training -------------- FSN Commercial Assistant attended the Partner Post Training in Bangkok, Thailand. FCS organized a two and a half day full scheduled with various sections talks which include introduction services (International Company Profile / Single Company Promotion / International Buyer Program / Gold Key Matching Service / International Partner Search / Trade Counseling),US Trade and Development Agency, CS Websites Export.gov / Asia Now / CS BKK FUSE / DOC Insider, Performance Measures on export success/highlight/customer services, Market Research (Country Commercial Guide/other reporting),EB & Commercial Diplomacy, Regional Discussion on TIFA / Enhanced Partnership/WTO, Partner Organization (AMCHAM),Standards, Advocacy, IPR focus, Corporate Social Responsibility, USAID, US-ASEAN Business Council, FAS and AMCHAM Briefing. At the AMCHAM Briefing, FSN Commercial Assistant briefed them on Brunei business climate. She had one follow-up request and provided the company with the required information. Another company has expressed an interest in coming to Brunei. ¶2. Embassy thanks EB Bureau for offering BFIF program and looks forward to future participation to increase U.S. exports to Brunei.
