The MFA Director for International Organizations, Terumi
Matsuo, told PolOff October 17 that Paraguay will take into
account U.S. views regarding North Korea's nuclear test on
October 9. Matsuo also stated that Paraguay is working with
Mercosur members to establish a joint position on the matter
- a view the MFA's Vice Minister of Economics, Emilio Gimenez
Franco, separately echoed to the DCM.
