(C) In the absence of GOT Special Envoy for Iraq Celikkol, we
discussed ref a points Dec. 6 with his deputy, Fazli Corman.
Corman was grateful for the message reaffirming the USG's
commitment to a government of national unity in Iraq which
represents all communities. He said that the GOT did not
take seriously recent press reports to the contrary, and that
Turkey would continue its efforts -- as much as possible in
consultation and coordination with us -- to reach out to
Sunni Arabs in an effort to bring them into the political
process in Iraq.
