(C) Per reftel instructions, polcouns reiterated the U.S.
position on the DPRK's nuclear program in a meeting the
morning of October 9 with Thamer al-Adwan, the Foreign
Minister's chief of staff. Al-Adwan said that no decision
had been made as the news of the test had just broken, but
believed Jordan would publicly condemn it.
