(U) Jordanian dailies led with the GOJ's announcement that the General Intelligence Directorate (GID) foiled a suicide bombing plot by capturing three terrorists. GOJ spokesman Nasser Judah said the captured terrorists planned to attack a "vital civilian facility" in Amman. State-run TV showed images of the three detained men, rifles, and bomb making materials. ¶2. (S/NF) In late February GID arrested Iraqi nationals Abd Al-Karim Khudyr Abbas al-Jumayli and Mohsen Mazloum Jassam Lousi, and seized 18 sticks of explosives similar to the type used in the November 2005 Hotel bombings (REF A). The GID arrested Libyan national Mohammad Saeed Hamad Gheith Darsi - reportedly the would-be suicide attacker - after he crossed into Jordan from Syria on February 27. (REF C) ¶3. (U) According to press, the GID is working to capture four other suspects who participated in the plot: Saudi national Turki Nasser Abdullah, and Iraqi nationals Saad Fawzi Hatem Muhyidddin Obeidi, Yousef Abdul Rahman Obeidi, and Saad Fakhri Younis Nueimi.
