DEMARCHE AND MOU DELIVERED

(SBU) Poloff delivered reftel demarche, and English and
Arabic versions of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on
challenge inspections, to Hasan al-Salah, Head of the
Ministry of Interior's Prohibition of Chemical Weapons
Department, during a February 21 meeting. Salah said he
would promptly inform the National Authority for the
Prohibition of Chemical Weapons of the updated text of the
MOU, and, once its review was completed, would forward the
Jordanian version of the MOU to Poloff.
