associated campaign documents for Steven Lett's candidacy to
head the International Mobile Satellite Organization to MFA
Director for International Organizations Yacub Al-Hosani.
Al-Hosani was familiar with the nomination. PolOff stressed
Mr. Lett's qualifications for the duties of the position and
noted that many of his competitors had little or no known
experience in the field. Al-Hosani's recollection was that
the UAEG was willing to support the U.S. candidate for this
position but reserved final comment until confirming that
with his office.
