1. Econchief delivered demarche to MinEcon WTO Legal Advisor
Issa Baddour on June 26. Baddour said that believed that
MinEcon Undersecretary Abdulla Al-Saleh (the ministry's
number two) would be attending the meeting rather than
MinEcon Sheikha Lubna Al-Qasimi. Baddour concurred that
Ministers agreed to an ambitious agenda in the Doha
Development Agenda. He stressed that the "development" part
of the negotiations needed to be equally ambitious as the
traditional trade portion of the negotiations.
