(SBU) The Embassy delivered a diplomatic note January 17 to
MFA seeking UAEG support for Ambassador Levitsky's
re-election to the INCB. Pol Chief also urged UAEG support
for Levitsky when he met January 16 with MFA International
Organizations Director Yacub al-Hosani, who said he would
forward our request to the MFA Under Secretary and the
Foreign Minister. Al-Hosani did not believe the UAEG
intended to nominate its own candidate.
