(SBU) As requested reftel, poloff recently briefed Vesna Klaic, director of the MFA's Eurasia Office on the U.S. - INDIA CIVIL NUCLEAR COOPERATION initiative. Klaic noted that Croatia supports all efforts to promote peace and to increase accountability in nuclear facilities. In response to Klaic's question about supporting civilian nuclear energy in "other countries" (referring to Iran),poloff drew from talking points to lay out the differences in the two countries' circumstances.
