Markarian said the GOAM "does not see any obstacles" to support for the Convention. Markarian promised to contact the GOAM's UN delegation to encourage active support for a resolution, despite OIC impediments, before and during the late-July consultations. Markarian noted that Armenia recently completed the ratification process for the twelve counterterrorism conventions and treaties already in force (reftel) and support for CCIT is a natural extension of the GOAM's anti-terrorism policy.
