of Poland's Security Policy Department on September 2, 2005
in preparation for the Madrid MTCR Plenary later this month.
Poloff emphasized the US desire for individual member states
to support our proposal that countries announce their
intention to pay special attention to North Korean flagged
vessels even if a minority of member states prevents a
consensus vote on that matter at the Plenary (Ref A).
Janishewska had no immediate response to the demarche but
said she would provide a more substantive response after an
upcoming policy review.
