¶1. On January 21, Emboffs delivered reftel demarche to
Norbert Hack, Counsellor in the MFA's Disarmament and
Non-Proliferation Division. Hack said that Austria intended
to support the EU position on this issue. Hack added that
all sides would have to compromise to ensure passage of the
proposed SA/LW instrument during upcoming negotiations.
