1. Santo Domingo Embassy on June 20 and again on June 15
delivered reftel demarche to MFA's UN/OAS affairs division.
We inquired about the reasons for the Dominican Republic's
delay in delivering its report under the resolution and asked
whether the government might require technical assistance
(which we mentioned as a tentative possibility). As of June
24, Deputy division chief Rhadys Abreu de Polanco had
requested further information from the Dominican Republic's
military authorities and was awaiting a response.
