¶1. The Ambassador called on President Fernandez on April 29
to advise him of the invitation. Fernandez accepted
immediately. In subsequent conversations with the
Ambassador, Fernandez has confirmed his acceptance of the
White House invitation to do CAFTA events in New York and
Washington. He looks forward to the trip, including the
opportunity to meet with President Bush.
