On August 5, center-left "Diario Siete" (circ. 23,000)
ran an editorial entitled, "The Hiroshima Barbarism."
Quote:
"The argument that the atomic bomb prevented a Japanese
invasion and shortened the war is an alibi to attenuate
the impact of a slaughter that should be tried with
equal rigor to that with which humanity judges the Nazi
massacres. A crime is a crime."
