CLAIMS ON FARM LAND
The Czech Constitutional Court ruled December 20, 2005, that
claims for the return of farm land confiscated during
Communism (from 1948 to 1989) can be made after December 31,
2005, the original deadline. Eligible claimants are former
owners and their direct heirs (spouses, sons, daughters, and
grandchildren). This ruling does not apply to claims for
other types of property, such as houses, non-farm land, art,
or private property.
