Reftel reported that the GOC was proceeding with plans to
designate Hezb-e-Islami Hekmatyar under the domestic Criminal
Code on about June 27. We have been notified by Foreign
Affairs Canada that the listing is now expected in August.
The GOC is holding the Cabinet recommendation for the next
Treasury Board meeting. The date in August is not yet known.
