SUBJECT: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CONSULAR SECTION
1. Due to an unavoidable staffing gap, Amembassy
Ndjamena will temporarily close its consular section to
the public from October 28 to November 13, 2005.
2. Should there be an emergency visa case, post would
be grateful for AmEmbassy Paris' assistance. (Chadians
traveling to the U.S. generally pass through Paris en
route.) We will send an advance notice to the consular
section should such a need arise. We would also
appreciate AmEmbassy Yaounde's assistance, should any
Chadians choose to apply instead in Yaounde during
those two weeks. We will also give the consular
section advance notice as required.
3. Emergency ACS services will be provided by post's
duty officers and RSO office.
4. We greatly appreciate your assistance.
