The alleged desecration of human remains by U.S. soldiers in
Afghanistan has not received significant media play in Oman.
Brief wire reports on the issue have been published in the
interior pages of several Arabic and English newspapers, but
no locally produced articles or editorials on the subject have
appeared. The Embassy will continue to monitor the Omani
media and report any developments.
