CONSULTATIONS IN GENEVA

On August 19 econ/poloff met with Faruque Faquira, Head of
Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Directorate for
International Organizations and Conferences (DOIC),to
deliver reftel talking points. Faquira stated that the GRM
was interested in seeing the consultations take place, but
admitted that it had not been following the issue closely
over the last month. Faquira said he recognized the
importance of the issue and promised to deliver the message
to the GRM's mission in Geneva.
