(U) Ambassador, during a June 1 meeting with Minister of
State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar, delivered
reftel demarche seeking support from Muslim countries for an
independent assessment of events in Andijon, Uzbekistan.
Expressing concern about the recent events in Uzbekistan,
Abdul Ghaffar said he would review our points.
