Ambassador delivered reftel demarche to Minister of Finance
Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa April 12. Al Khalifa
was fully aware of G8/BMENA and OECD/MENA initiatives and
said he would attend the G8/MENA ministerial session on the
periphery of the World Bank/IMF meetings. (Note: Manama was
just named regional headquarters for the OECD/MENA investment
initiative at the Paris Steering Committee Meeting April 4.
End Note). The Ambassador noted that the Ministry of Finance
had taken a leading role on these projects and thanked him
for his efforts.
