(C) Upon receiving confirmation that the British Embassy had demarched the GOB on counternarcotics contributions to Afghanistan, PolOff delivered the follow-up reftel message to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Assistant Undersecretary for Coordination and Follow Up Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa April 13. Sheikh Abdul Aziz said the MFA recommended to the Ministry of Interior that the GOB either make a small contribution to the Counter Narcotics Trust Fund or provide in-kind technical assistance on policing and patroling methods. He said he would notify us when the GOB made a final decision regarding its support. MONROE
