(C) Ambassador delivered the Secretary's oral message to
Arab League members (reftel) February 27 to Minister for
Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed Abdel Ghaffar. Abdel Ghaffar
made no substantive comment, but promised to review the
points carefully and advise Foreign Minister Shaikh Mohammed.
Abdel Ghaffar confirmed that FM Shaikh Mohammed would be
traveling to London to represent Bahrain at the March 1
conference on assistance to the PA.
