1. Slovenia has offered to send SIT 22 million (approx.
$110,000) worth of supplies to the U.S. to assist the victims
of Hurricane Katrina. According to the Department of Civil
Protection at the Ministry of Defense the donation will
include:
250 adult camp beds
250 mattresses
780 blankets
2000 first aid kits.
The Govt. of Slovenia will also be able to transport these
items within Europe as necessary, but it will look to the USG
or others to transport the assistance across the Atlantic.
