(U) On 27 June Econ Specialist discussed licensing conditions in Slovenia's telecommunications sector with Mira Zupancic, the Head of the Telecommunications Department at the Slovenian Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (APEC). Zupancic explained that there is no fee in connection with licensing fixed line services in excess of what is necessary to cover administrative costs. Zupancic also said the application procedure is simple and quick, noting that an applicant must simply fill in a form and will be registered in a week.
