(C) Per reftel request, Ambassador spoke to the Director of International Organizations at the Foreign Ministry, Amb. Abdullah Ahmed Murad, about the importance of instructing the Kuwaiti delegation in New York to oppose the "no action motion" related to the Iran resolution. Ambassador provided the demarche points as a non-paper to Murad, as well as to the offices of the Foreign Minister and the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry. It was clear from Murad's response that he had not focused on the vote, but he promised to do so and make a recommendation to the Foreign Minister. LEBARON
