1. (U) Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Tosi Mpanu Mpanu,
Advisor to FonMin Ramazani, February 25. Mpanu said the DRC
welcomed the ideas expressed in the US draft resolution on
the economic advancement of women since increased educational
and employment opportunities for women benefit all societies,
particularly those of developing countries like the Congo.
Mpanu said he expected the DRC to provide full support to
this resolution.
