Duggan said the GOI had no knowledge of Elehssan connections to Ireland and forwarded background information to Central Bank and Department of Justice officials for reference. Department of Finance officials received direct notification simultaneously from U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and confirmed through Duggan no knowledge of Elehssan in Ireland.
