SUBJECT: MALDIVIAN GUANTANAMO DETAINEE IBRAHIM FAUZEE
¶1. (SBU) The Maldivan government has advised the
Embassy that, according to Maldivian national
Ibrahim Fauzee who was returned to Maldives from
Guantanamo March 12, when Mr. Fauzee was detained
in Pakistan his Maldivian passport and several
"educational certificates" were seized. They were
not returned when Mr. Fauzee was released. The
government would like to know if the documents are
in U.S. possession and, if so, whether they can be
returned.
