Huggins said that the GOA should have an agreed interagency response available after the first week of September when officials from DFAT and the Department of Environment and Heritage (DEH) consult in advance of the General Assembly meeting in October (septel). During a July 8 follow-up conversation, DEH staff suggested that U.S. officials raise reftel demarche with DEH Director David Walker at the July 10-17 meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Durban.
