SUBJECT: MFA INFORMED OF AGREMENT FOR AMBASSADOR PASTRANA

Post informed MFA by diplomatic note that the nomination of
Andres Pastrana Arango as Ambassador of the Republic of
Colombia has been approved. The MFA does not have a travel
schedule for Ambassador Pastrana at present, but expects that
he will be in Washington by mid-October. Post will inform
the Department of Ambassador Pastrana's travel plans as soon
as MFA finalizes them.
