On January 3, MFA Coordinator for U.S., Canada, and the Summit for Americas, Francisco Gonzalez, agreed with the Ministry of Communications' official reaction to reftel demarche. The Ministry of Communications' official reply states that Colombia's delegation at the WTSA meeting, last November, supported the U.S. position. In addition, the Colombian delegation, acting as President of the Permanent Advisory Committee, will present a modified proposal at the next meeting, which was already approved by the Executive Committee of CITEL and supports the U.S. position of a single-member-state-veto rule.
