(C) The Ambassador discussed the increasing extremism of
Iran's president and his recent inflammatory rhetoric
regarding Israel with Minister of Foreign Affairs Carolina
Barco on November 10. Foreign Minister Barco agreed the
rhetoric was unacceptable and of concern, and had so informed
the Israeli ambassador. She said the GOC was in touch with
the Israelis on the matter and considering an appropriate
response. Post will continue to monitor Colombian
developments on this issue.
