(SBU) Poloff delivered reftel points on December 12 to Eihab
Omaish, Deputy Director of the Foreign Minister's private
office. Poloff thanked Omaish for Jordan's consistently
strong support for the Iraqi political process, and asked
that the GOJ issue positive public statements regarding the
December 15 elections in Iraq. Omaish replied that Jordan
would continue its efforts to aid Iraq, and that he would
pass our points directly to Foreign Minister Khatib.
