The Amman-based NEA Regional Environment, Science, Technology and Health (ESTH) Hub Office, with the cooperation of Embassy Doha (ref),invites action posts to participate in a one-day conference for FSNs on ESTH issues. The conference will be held at Embassy Doha on November 23. Action posts are invited to send, at posts' expense, one or two FSNs with responsibility for handling ESTH issues to the conference. ¶2. The purpose of the conference is to acquaint FSNs with the major USG institutions and policies on ESTH issues, including avian flu, HIV/AIDS, water resources, water pollution, desertification, marine resources, parks and protected areas, and science and technology cooperation. The conference is also an opportunity for participants to exchange information about ESTH issues in their countries and to seek opportunities for collaboration with each other and with US institutions. The meeting will be led by Hub ESTHOff and Hub ESTH FSN. All other participants will be action post FSNs. ¶3. Please send responses to Embassy Amman and Embassy Doha. ¶4.
