Acting DCM made ref demarche to Ambassador Muhammad
al-Qaraan, director of the Foreign Ministry,s Arab and
Middle Eastern Affairs Department, on August 31. Al-Qaraan
said he would brief to FM Kasrawi our request that Jordan
continue to support the effort to isolate Syria at the UNGA.
He noted that King Abdullah and Kasrawi will both go to New
York, but that neither had set his meeting schedule yet.
