SUBJECT: Jordan - Avian Influenza Points Delivered

Post passed reftel talking points on avian influenza and a
cover letter from the Charge on August 28 to Minister of
Health Said Darwazeh and to Minister of Agriculture Muzahim
Muhaisen. There was no substantive response. Post is
scheduling a follow-up visit to discuss avian influenza with
the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Animal Health.
