Acting PolCouns delivered reftel talking points and
diplomatic note on July 5 to Walid Obeidat in the Foreign
Minister's private office. Obeidat had no substantive
response, but said he would pass the information to all
relevant offices in the Foreign Ministry, including the
International Organizations department. He was not aware of
a possible Jordanian candidate for the World Heritage
Committee.
