While MFA interlocutors have stated that the Dutch intelligence service, AIVD, has had the lead on this issue for the GONL, and that they preferred to address this issue in ROAL channels, they have provided a formal response to questions raised ref A in the form of a Note Verbale dated May 19, 2004.
