1. We received Spain's response to reftel from Felipe Bragado
de las Heras, Chief of Staff to the Secretary General of the
Spanish Agency for International Development. Spain has
donated EUR 300,000 (USD 366,000 at an exchange rate of EUR
1.0=USD 1.21) to the United Nations Flash Appeal for Haiti
through the World Food Program.
2. Spain is currently going through a political transition
between governments. We will ascertain if additional aid is
envisioned when we meet with the new government's personnel.
3. Minimize considered.
